1. Are there any criminal charges that you do not accept?
The only charges that we are not able to consider are those of sexual nature. All other charges will be considered on a case by case basis.
2. What are your shift times?
We have two different shifts here at Nehemiah. First shift is 6:30am – 3:00pm, and second shift is 3:30pm-midnight. Both shifts run from Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime on the weekends. We are currently hiring for both shifts.
3. Do you have part-time positions available?
No, at this point in time we are only hiring for full time positions.
4. What does your temp-to-hire process look like?
NMC utilizes a temp-to-hire model with the end goal of long-term, gainful employment for every single employee. The purpose of our temp-to-hire process is to ensure that the job is a good fit for the employee, and that the employee is a good fit for the company. This process is merit-based, without a concrete set of time defining the temporary period. An estimated time frame for the temporary period is 4-6 months. This process will be discussed in detail during the interview/assessment.
5. What is the starting pay?
As a temporary employee, our first shift, entry-level positions start at $14.25/hour, with a +$0.50 differential for second shift. Upon hire as a permanent Nehemiah employee, there is a pay increase to $15.00/hour on first shift with a +$0.50 differential for second shift.
6. Do I need a background check?
We do not require background checks to be turned in with applications. However, if you are contacted to schedule an interview/assessment, you will be directed to bring your Hamilton County background check with you to your interview/assessment.

8. Is there a program I must complete prior to employment?
Nehemiah’s hiring model is to pair each potential candidate with job-readiness and on-going support, prior to employment. However, the specifics of this model will look different for every candidate. If you’re not sure what this will look like for you, that’s okay. We encourage you to still fill out an application, and your interviewer will cover this topic more thoroughly during your interview/assessment.
9. Do you hire people who are still on probation?
Yes. Being on probation does not exclude you from being considered for employment at Nehemiah. However, we do ask that you communicate to your supervisors any impact your probation may have on your work schedule, with plenty of notice (e.g. court appointments, P.O. meetings, etc.). This will also be a point of discussion during the interview/assessment.
10. Do you drug screen?
Yes. You must be able to pass a drug screening in order to be considered for employment. We conduct drug screenings upon entry (prior to employment), randomly, and post-accident.
11. How often are employees paid?
Hourly employees are paid weekly on Fridays.
12. What kind of benefits package do you offer?
